Depending on the property that you are buying and your individual circumstances there are different options available to choose from.

Valuations

Private Valuations:

If you are buying a property with cash or if you need a valuation for a private sale, Capital Gains, Inheritance Tax or for any other reason where you need a RICS qualified valuation, a private valuation may be right for you. Examples of valuation reports are help to buy/shared ownership/probate/matrimonial/Redbook.

Help to Buy Valuations:

If you’re looking to settle your Help to Buy equity loan and you have been asked to obtain a Target-approved Help to Buy Valuation, then this is the option for you.

Surveys

There are several levels of Survey the most common are a level 2 homebuyers survey and a level 3 building surveys.

Level 2:

A level 2 homebuyers survey covers the vast majority of buyers and are designed for most conventionally built houses and apartments.

Level 3:

If your property is older, larger, run down or is of non-standard construction then you may be more suited to a level 3 building survey.

All the surveys will be carried out by a RICS qualified surveyor, and they will provide you with a comprehensive easy to understand report.

  • For surveys conducted where the property value is above £1 million, the cost of the survey will be based on the particular property and individual requirements.
